Getting Started - Installation

System Requirements

For the best experience with our software, ensure your system aligns with these requirements:

Essential Software:

  • .NET 7: The application runs on the .NET 7 framework. Install the .NET 7 Desktop Runtime from the Microsoft .NET website.
  • WebView2 Runtime: Necessary for web content, available on the Microsoft Edge WebView2 page.

*Installation checks for and prompts the installation of .NET 7 and WebView2 Runtime if needed.

Recommended Hardware:

  • Display: A screen size of 27 inches or larger for better visibility and productivity.
  • Memory (RAM): 16GB or more for improved multitasking and application performance.
  • Disk Space: A minimum of 256GB to accommodate installation, updates, and user content.
  • Processor: Intel Core i5 (or equivalent) for smooth operation and a lag-free experience.
Projects - Creating a New Project

Creating New Projects

To initiate a new project, enabling you to begin reviewing and analyzing your plans, navigate to the "Projects" window, identifiable by an icon resembling a house.

Location Options:

  • File: This option saves your project as a separate file, which the program does not catalog.
  • Local: Chooses a storage location on a directly connected disk or drive.
  • Network: Stores the project on a mapped drive or a network location. This option can be changed in the Settings->Drives section.

Directory:

The project will be housed within a specified subfolder. It's possible for multiple projects to coexist within the same subfolder, organizing your work efficiently.

Name:

Assign a unique file name to your project for easy identification.

Sample Data:

Each project module comes with predefined starter items, facilitating a smoother beginning to your project development.

Plans - Importing Plans

Adding plans to your project

Easily add plans to your project with two methods: drag and drop into the workspace or use the "Import PDF" feature found in the file menu.

Supported Formats: Include PDF, TIFF, and various image files.

Import Window Overview

The Import Window acts as your hub for adjusting the incoming content, offering settings for page selection, import order, numbering, and more.

  • Range Selection: Choose specific pages by entering ranges (e.g., 1-5) or list individual pages (e.g., 1,3,5), granting you direct control over what's imported.
  • Range Order: Customize the import sequence of pages to organize your project content efficiently.
  • Page Numbering: Opt for "Page Number By File" to keep original page numbers, or let the system sequentially number them according to your current project flow.
  • Page Versioning: Enable version overlays for easy comparison between different versions of the same page number.
  • Quality Settings: Select from various DPI settings to balance between detail (up to 300dpi) and file size (as low as 72dpi).
  • Color Transformation: Convert colored lines to a specific color to align with your project's visual style or requirements.
  • Transparency: Remove backgrounds for clean overlays of images or text in your project.
  • Annotations: Preserve PDF annotations during import, keeping essential notes and highlights intact.
Plans - Setting Scale

Setting the Scale on Pages

Adjusting the scale of your content is essential for the precision and clarity of your work. Our application provides three main scale setting options—Global Scale, Page Scale, and Layer Scale—tailored to meet various requirements. Additionally, understanding how to calibrate or check scales is vital for maintaining accuracy. This guide includes updated instructions for setting the Layer Scale and offers streamlined guidance on effectively using these scale settings.

Global Scale

  • Purpose: Sets a uniform scale across all pages.
  • Access & Use:
    • Standard Method: Right-click any page and choose Scale -> Global.
    • While Plotting: Right-click on the page and select Page -> Scale -> Global.
    • Enter the desired scale value to apply it across all pages.
    • Confirm to apply the adjustment.

Page Scale

  • Purpose: Adjusts the scale of selected pages independently.
  • Access & Use:
    • Right-click the desired page.
    • Use Scale -> Page for general access, or Page -> Scale -> Page if plotting.
    • Select and set the scale for chosen pages.
    • Save to apply adjustments.

Layer Scale

  • Purpose: Allows specific scale adjustments for individual layers, overriding other scale settings.
  • Access & Use:
    • Navigate to the Module Tools Panel and open the Layer Editor.
    • Enter the scale value for the selected layer.
    • Changes save automatically.

Calibrating and Checking Scales

Proper scale calibration ensures project accuracy.

  • Access Calibration: Right-click on any page and select Scale -> Calibrate. Use Page -> Scale -> Calibrate if plotting.
  • Input Reference Distance: Enter the exact measurement for calibration.
  • Select Points: Mark the starting and ending points across the known distance.
  • Confirmation Prompt: A prompt will ask if you wish to apply the new calibration.
  • Confirm Calibration: Click "Ok" or "Cancel" to adjust the scale.
  • Verification: Measure other known distances to verify the new scale’s accuracy, adjusting as necessary.
